  Overton is a pretty village next to Bombardier Sapphire distillery.
  
  The Red Lion has a traditional but contemporary feel. Staff are friendly and polite.
  
  Had the crispy confit of duck on braised red cabbage - great seasonal dish.
  
  Definitely will return.

  Absolutely gobsmacked at how myself and my partner were treated when we accidentally parked in the car park to collect an item form a nearby shop.
  
  The owner (a blonde lady in her 50s) began shouting through the glass at my partner who was waiting for me. She tried calling me but it couldn't get through and the woman continued shouting and spitting with rage at the passenger window. She then proceeded to park her car in front of the car and intimidated my partner further.
  
  I returned to find my partner - scared and distraught at what had happened.
  
  I fully accept I missed the signs not to park there - that was my mistake - but there is a certain way you speak to potential customers regarding an issue like this. Intimidation by shouting and physically blocking an exit is NOT acceptable.
  
  I called up the following day to speak to the owner and I was put through to her by a very polite and helpful young waitress. I immediately apologised for parking their incorrectly (for 15 mins) and the owner absolutely exploded down the phone at me and hung up.
  
  This sort of behaviour should not go unnoticed. I'm sure the food at this pub is great - but customer service (be it the public or in the pub) is imperative to a business and for that, this pub should be avoided.
  
  If there is a dispute - this woman opts for intimidation over diplomacy.

  We have hired the function room here on a number of occasions for family celebrations. The room is well set up for a group of around 20 - 30 to have a sit down meal or more if you have a buffet. The addition of the pub skittles for a small charge is great fun. We have found the food to be exceptional, both the set menu and the buffet are great and portion sizes are generous. With easy access to the pub across the car park for drinks etc and good parking it makes for an ideal venue
